Do you want to learn more about our community’s issues while deepening your knowledge of and involvement in NCJW?  Perhaps you would like to expand your leadership skills with a small group of like-minded individuals. Looking for ways to widen your circle of friends by meeting new-to-you people? NCJW Way offers all this and more!

After a 5-year hiatus, NCJW-GNO’s stellar leadership development program, NCJW Way, is returning this spring for 2025-2026.  NCJW Way, funded by the Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust, provides a needed pipeline of new leadership for NCJW-GNO.  The objective of the NCJW Way program is to inspire and inform future leaders of NCJW using a 3-pronged approach of education, service, and leadership training.

Qualifications for participants:

1.    Current or new member of NCJW, Greater New Orleans Section
2.    Interested in working to achieve the mission of NCJW
3.    Ability to work well with others
4.    Committed to stay in the New Orleans area.

Expectations for participants:

1.    Attend 6 salon-style seminars focused on issues that affect our area
2.    Attend a General Meeting
3.    Organize and Participate in a service project with your NCJW Way cohort
4.    Attend NCJW Washington Institute (May 18-20, 2025)  with all airfare, hotel and registration expenses paid
5.    Commit to a term of NCJW board service following participation in NCJW Way

Recruiting and Nominating Process:

1.   Call for nominations from the board and membership
2.   Self-nominations accepted
3.   Application must be completed and submitted by the March 31, 2025 deadline
4.   Nominations reviewed by a selection committee comprised of the chairwoman plus representatives from the board, the executive  committee and one past president
